As an experienced wedding florist, I have the extraordinary opportunity to be a part of couples' special days. My role goes beyond simply arranging flowers; it's about capturing the essence of the couple's love story and transforming it into a visual masterpiece.

I recently had the privilege of designing the floral arrangements for a stunning wedding at Andaz Hotel Singapore. The couple envisioned an elegant and romantic celebration, infused with a touch of whimsy. To bring their vision to life, I meticulously curated a selection of fresh flowers in a harmonious blend of pink, orange, white, and red, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.

The couple envisioned an outdoor solemnisation ceremony amidst the hotel's lush gardens rooftop balcony, where the joyous energy of their love would be reflected in the vibrant colours of the flowers and the city landscape behind them. To capture this essence, we carefully curated a selection of fresh blooms in shades of fuchsia pink, sunny orange, pristine white, and passionate red for the wedding arch.

A circular arch, adorned with an abundance of fresh flowers, served as the centrepiece of the ceremony. The delicate petals cascaded down the arch, creating a mesmerising frame for the couple as they exchanged vows under a canopy of vibrant hues.

A circular arch, adorned with an abundance of fresh flowers, served as the centrepiece of the ceremony. The delicate petals cascaded down the arch, creating a mesmerising frame for the couple as they exchanged vows under a canopy of vibrant hues.

The guest seating area was enhanced by a series of elegant floral arrangements at the start of every row, guiding the couple to the place where they will pledge their love for one another.

As the celebration transitioned to the hotel's ballroom for the reception, we seamlessly integrated elements of the outdoor ceremony decor into the interior space. We re-purposed the circular arch and brought it indoors onto the stage where it became the focal point of the ballroom, creating a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic.

The dining tables were adorned with arrangements that echoed the same vibrant colour palette, using a mix of fresh flowers and foliage. The vibrant hues and delicate textures added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the reception setting.

The couple's vision for a vibrant and joyful wedding was brought to life through the careful selection and arrangement of fresh flowers. The result was a celebration that exuded exuberance, warmth, and romance, perfectly capturing the essence of their love and the joy of their new chapter together.

My thought process

As I embarked on the journey of selecting the flowers, my mind was filled with a

symphony of colours. I envisioned the couple's love story unfolding amidst a vibrant tapestry of blooms, each petal whispering tales of their joy and aection.

The colour pink, with its delicate hues, symbolised the tenderness and compassion that blossomed between the couple. Orange, with its vibrant energy, represented the warmth and passion that ignited their love. White, the epitome of purity and innocence, reflected the genuineness of their connection. And red, the colour of love and romance, captured the depth and intensity of their bond.

With each flower I selected, I carefully considered its texture, shape, and symbolism. Roses, with their velvety petals and timeless elegance, were an obvious choice. Their graceful forms and delicate fragrances have long been associated with love and romance, making them the perfect symbol for the couple's enduring bond.

Carnations, with their diverse range of colours and long-lasting blooms, added a touch of versatility and charm to the arrangements. Their rued petals and sweet fragrance perfectly complemented the elegance of the roses, creating a harmonious blend of textures and scents.

Seeing the couple's happiness made me so happy. I knew that I had played a small part in creating a truly special day for the bride and groom. The flowers were just one element of the wedding, but I believe that they added a touch of magic and helped to make the day even more memorable.

I am so grateful to have been a part of this couple's special day, and I am so proud of the floral arrangements that I created. I know that they will cherish the memories of their wedding day for years to come.
